Researcher Bio
Clinical neurologist, born in 1961, at age 30 has been among the original founders of the Italian Centre for Alzheimer's Disease at IRCCS Fatebenefratelli Hospital in Brescia where he has since been attending both clinical and scientific duties. In the past 15 years his scientific interests have encompassed the clinical neuroimaging of Alzheimer’s and other cognitive disorders. He has over 200 scientific papers listed in PubMed, about half of which as a first or last author and is member of the Editorial Board of The Lancet Neurology and other peer-reviewed journals. He has been recently in charge of the FP6 EC funded project "European NeuroImaging Repository" and the Alzheimer's Association funded "Pilot European ADNI".
At the IRCCS Fatebenefratelli he is currently Deputy Scientific Director, head of the Psychogeriatric Ward, and head of the LENITEM – Laboratory of Epidemiology Neuroimaging & Telemedicine.
